Completely portable infra-red gas analyser for CO, CO2, HC & O2 gases.

With its compact design and low weight, the MicroGas 4 is probably the worlds smallest hand held Exhaust Gas Analyser. This unit allows total flexibility for exhaust gas diagnosis and delivers performance equal to or better than bench top units costing twice as much! No wires are required at all – just turn it on and within 1 minute you have readings – no 15-minute wait! Internal rechargeable batteries mean no power leads; Infra-red communication with the optional printer means no printer cable. Total portability and practicality at an affordable price.

The MicroGas 4 utilises the latest micro-bench technology to provide extremely accurate measurement of carbon monoxide (CO); carbon dioxide (CO2); hydrocarbons (HC); Oxygen (O2); Lambda and air/fuel ratio, in a very light, compact package.

The powerful microprocessor controlled circuit combined with advanced software allows up to 255 tests to be stored and printed as required. This is invaluable for comparing output from individual cylinders, or outputs before & after adjustment. The printouts can be customised to include your company details and phone number together with the registration number for individual tests.

The comprehensive illuminated display provides straightforward clear information - a large, backlit dot matrix LCD communicates all information on one screen.

Gasbox Autopower

4 gas infra-red gas analyser for CO, CO2, HC & O2 gases. For use with Texa diagnostic devices.

GASBOX Autopower was developed to be used as practical and flexible tool which will be useful to all types of operators within the sector.

It is equipped with a high capacity battery which is able to supply power in order to carry out the work at hand. This innovation allows the technician to work freely without the wires as obstacles. There will be no need for wires in the workshop as it will no longer be necessary to connect the analysis tool to a supply socket.

Thanks to Wireless Bluetooth connection, GASBOX Autopower interfaces with the display unit (any PC, or Axone range tool) without the requirements of any cables. The operator will be able to position his/her self wherever necessary without having to stay next to the analyser. For example, he/she will be able to leave the vehicle outside and carry out the test from within the workshop.

Aprilia / Ducati 2-branch connection kit and adapters

With most multi-cylinder motorcycles the exhausts are joined together, meaning that emissions measured at the silencer(s) are a combination of the outputs of all cylinders. Sometimes it is possible to measure each cylinder emissions individually, where threaded connection points are provided on the exhaust downpipes.

Italian bikes like Aprilia & Ducati have 1/8" gas threaded take-off points. The 2-branch connector kit has 2 take-off adaptors which incorporate integral cooling coils to dissipate heat from the exhaust gases. These are connected to lengths of rubber tubing which connect to the inlets provided on the 2-way connection valve. This kit can be easily connected to the MicroGas or most other gas analysers.

When using the 2-branch kit, first note which cylinder is connected to which tap. Open only the first tap, allow the gasses to stabilise, measure the emissions, then store the gas analysis result using the MicroGas keypad (or with other analysers, write on a piece of paper). You can add comments - remember to note which cylinder the test relates to. Then proceed to test the other cylinder in a similar fashion: close the first tap, open the second one and test as before. When you have finished taking measurements, you can view the tests you have made and select which tests you want to print.

Microware Software

MicroGas PC software Link - Datalogging software and connection cable.

Software is available to analyse either live data coming from the MicroGas analyser or stored data downloaded from the analyser.

Tests can be carried out on the road, using the MicroGas analyser on the bike and subsequently downloading the data to the PC (over 10 minutes of data can be recorded in the MicroGas on-board memory for on-bike testing), or in the workshop with a live display on the PC. The live display provides comprehensive clear information on one screen. Lambda or Air / Fuel Ratio can be selected (4-gas only).

The data can be displayed in a large digital format or as a graphical display. The graph display of live, saved or downloaded tests shows all gases, AFR (or Lambda), RPM and temperature. Each curve can be added or removed from the graph as required. A scrollable table of the numeric data is also displayed. Data can be exported in text format to applications like Excel.

Requires a PC with Windows, a serial port or a USB port with a USB-serial converter.

Compatible with most versions of Windows from Win 98 - XP.

Windows 2000 & XP work best with a USB - serial converter.

Works with both 2-Gas & 4-Gas MicroGas models.
